Along the 53-km long (33 miles) Thatched Cottage Trail, Aizier, a small village overlooking the river Seine, is one of the gems to explore. On foot or by bike, go by the small 11th century Romanesque Church that comprises one of the rare bell towers covered with local stone. Keep going down to the banks of the river Seine. Or go and explore Saint Thomas' Chapel and its information panels about life in a leprosarium during the Middle Ages.

People still come to Saint Thomas' Chapel to tie a knot in a branch of a tree and make a wish.
