Close to Rouen, immerse yourself in the early 19th century flour-milling trade in a lovely watermill.

There used to be 17 watermills along the Oison river in Normandy. The fully working Moulin Amour with its 19th century machinery is the only surviving one. It explains the history of the watermill, the miller's work, flour milling using organic grains. You will also be able to follow the "Biodiversity Path" and explore the kitchen herb garden and the little conservation vegetable garden. It gathers traditional plants as well as forgotten or threatened vegetables such as the nettle-leaved Canterbury bean. An ideal place for families.

The Watermill is named after the last miller, Désiré Amour, who had to leave in 1914 to go to war. The site remained empty for 80 years. Thanks to a group of enthusiasts, it was brought back to life in 1993 after five years of restoration works.
