Overlooking the wetland, this thatched cottage, the only one of its kind in France with its unique shape, now houses the town hall of Saint-Sulpice. Its medieval framework displaying corbels on three sides and a gallery at the back makes it an extraordinary site in Normandy. Built in 1420 some 10 kilometres away from here by English carpenters during the Hundred Years' War, this thatched-covered building has been disassembled and completely restored on this site overlooking the wetland.
The Medieval House is the starting point for two great walks along waymarked paths in the heart of sensitive natural areas: the "sentier de l'anguille" (Eel Path) and the "Sentier de la Risle maritime" (Risle Maritime Path).
