Travel back in time and visit an Anglo-Norman fortress located on the border of two kingdoms.

In the heart of the Vexin Normand region, the castle of Gisors is an incredible witness to military architecture from the 11th to the 16th century. By the end of the 11th century, the fortress, a border strategically located on the border and eastern barrier to Normandy, became part of a larger plan to fortify the Epte valley, a natural border between the Duchy of Normandy and the French kingdom. Lying at the heart of conflicts between the Kings of France and England, this border fortress has been a significant administrative centre, political centre and royal dwelling.

The castle has become related to the history of the Templars as three Knights Templar stayed in the fortress between 1158 and 1161. This presence led people to fantasize about the presence of a hidden treasure...
